How are the days remaining calculated?
The calculator subtracts today (or any start date you set) from the target date and converts the difference into whole days. Both the Hijri and Gregorian dates are shown for the start and end points, so there is no need for a separate calendar converter.
The Hijri conversion here uses the Umm al-Qura calendar, the same computed reference used by browsers and operating systems. It can differ by a day from the officially announced moon-sighting date.
Note Hijri months are 29 or 30 days depending on moon sighting, and this tool shows the computed (Umm al-Qura) calendar, not an official religious announcement. For official religious dates, check your country's relevant authority.
